Dr. Ryan-jon Palmitesso, son of Michael and Sherry Palmitesso, was born and raised in Oswego, NY. During the high school years, Ryan took an interest in science, more specifically, medicine.
As a senior, Ryan was chosen to take part in an elite program specifically tailored to students interested in the medical fields, replacing traditional high school curriculum with clinical rotations at Oswego Hospital. After graduating from Oswego High School, Ryan was accepted early decision to the 191st class of Hamilton College, a small liberal arts college in Clinton, NY. With a major in Chemistry, and a minor in Philosophy, Ryan fulfilled his Pre-Med requirements and spent summers at Hamilton doing research for the Biochemistry department.
As a student, Ryan befriended an Irondequoit native, Hamilton's Vice President of Communication and Development, Dick Tantillo. After hearing praise of the Rochester atmosphere from Dick, Ryan decided to look into the local programs for postgraduate studies.
Ryan completed his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, graduating with awards in Operative Dentistry and recognition for his work as Honor Council representative during his four-year term at UMDNJ. Ryan's interest and elective training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, prompted him to accept a position at Strong Memorial Hospital as a General Practice Resident.
Currently residing in Webster, Ryan shares his time between two local General Dentistry Practices.
